Kids Act Creation

Does your child love performing and creating? Is the stage calling their name?
Do they want to learn how to create their own circus act?
Showcase their talents and join our Act Creation class!
Students create their own act from choosing their apparatus & music, to creating choreography & designing their costume. Instructor gives tools to use in the creation process and provides feedback & guidance.
Acts must be between 2 - 4 minutes
The session ends with a performance in front of a live audience at The Rising's studio.
This session's theme is "Circus Through the Ages"
Kids Acts will be inspired by the decade of the "50s and 60s"

Have double the flying fun and learn together with a class that is sure to bring you closer and get you stronger!
This is a 5 class session that will introduce you and your child to the wonderful world of circus. Each class will focus on one of the most popular aerial apparatuses: aerial silk, aerial hoop, aerial hammock and static trapeze. You will learn solo and duo tricks on each apparatus, so bring your cameras as this is one experience you won't want to forget!

Prerequisites: None or Beginner Experience.
Child's Age must be between 6-12 yrs.
Due to our limited number of aerial points Max 2 students per family registration. MUST consist of 1 adult & 1 youth
- please note we do not have a viewing area in the circus studios. Only those registered to participate in the course allowed in the studio. Additional family members will enjoy watching at home the photos/video you capture during class!

Come explore our indoor circus playground with your little one! Aerial silk, trapeze, rings and more! Swing, spin, roll, and balance. A great way for your child to have fun while developing their physical and creative capabilities.
Parent participation & supervision of child required at all times. This is not a structured class. Coach provides safety supervision only. The Rising's school rules must be followed for safety. We will go over them with you on your first visit.
*cut off time to register for each Tiny Tots is by 8pm on the day prior. If we do not meet our minimum enrolment the class will be removed that day from the schedule and centre will remain closed. You will receive an email if we do not reach our minimum.

Kids Circus Happy Hour

Curious about our circus school and want to test it out before signing up for a full session? Does your child take regular circus classes with us but missed a class and wants to make it up? Or are you looking for an extra practice so your child can get stronger and practice the skills they know and improve their technique? Reserve your spot in our fun-filled hour of supervised open exploration on circus apparatus for kids. This not not a structured class. Coach provides safety supervision. Children must be able to follow our circus school rules to be able to attend. Drink / appy (peanut free) will be served at end of the hour while we tell each other our favourite trick we practiced.
* Please note this program is a closed class setting. We do not have a designated parent viewing area in the circus school but we are happy to show you our facility if you are new!

This 45 min class is the perfect introduction into the magical world of circus !
Silk, hoop, trapeze, acrobatics, and ground circus skills
Focus is on FUN and IMAGINATION!
Prerequisites: none, must be able to participate without accompaniment and follow the coach's instruction. Must be able to use the bathroom by themselves. If we feel your child is struggling we recommend signing up for Tiny Tots Cirque Drop In.

Circus Starter is your child's first step in our Kids Programming.
Register for either Wednesdays or Saturdays. Class meets once/week.
Learn foundational skills on aerial silk, aerial hoop, trapeze, and ground circus skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Circus improves strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and is a non-competitive and creative outlet
Near the end of the session you will receive an email stating whether your child can move into the next level or sign up for another Circus Starter Session to have more time to develop their circus foundations.

Building on the aerial foundations students will progress at their own pace on aerial Silk, Hammock, Hoop, and Trapeze. Plus ground circus skills.
Generally, it takes up to 2 years of consistent training to move into Lv 2

Students will learn an aerial routine during last 1/3 of session and perform it for their parents on the last class of the session

Continuing to study the 4 main aerial apparatus students will learn higher level skills such as hip keys in the air, thigh hitch, inversion skills, & skill sequencing. Students will learn an aerial routine during last 1/2 of session and perform it for their parents on the last class of the session.

The Show Team Prep class is only a supplementary course.
Does your child aspire to be on The Rising's Show Team? Want to prepare for the upcoming Show Team audition in June 2024? Does your child want to focus on their aerial silks training?
This 10-week preparatory Ring Masters Lv 3 class focuses solely on learning aerial silk skills, sequences, and drops. An emphasis is placed on building strength and proper technique in the air with a greater attention to clean lines and artistry.
