Communicable Disease Prevention at The Rising

PROOF OF VACCINATION:​

  • NO proof of vaccine required at this time

​

 ENVIRONMENTAL MEASURES  

  •  DISINFECTING SURFACES & EQUIPMENT 

    • All high use areas (i.e. door handles, washrooms, cubbies) will be disinfected daily

    • Staff will spray and wipe down equipment for each KIDS class

    • Aerial Silk/Hammocks will be rotated weekly, and washed each session

    • floors and some equipment that is safe for fogging will be disinfected with fogging machine 

    • Teen and Adult Students are responsible for wiping down all mats and bar apparatus after use at end of class.  Cleaning supplies will be provided 

    • Hand Sanitizer pumps available throughout facility

    • washroom: single person use only

  • VENTILATION​​

    • loading bay door open during warmer months

​

  • CLASS PROTOCOLS

    • normal class capacity

    • Students age 6+ will have stationary points and will share point with same person for entire session

    • Students cannot spot or touch eachother, unless in emergency situation

    • Students can choose to supply their own chalk or rosin and bring it in a sealed container or spray bottle.  No liquid chalk.

    • Classes will start and end on time

  • STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • ​Read and Sign our waiver via the registration portal through your Rising account.  Minors must have waiver signed by legal guardian.  Students cannot participate in classes unless new waiver has been agreed to/signed

    • Do not enter The Rising until 5 min before your class.  Please wait in your car or outside our doors while maintaining 2 metres separation.  This is to ensure previous class has left the building and disinfecting procedures are completed.  

    • Teen and Adult students can reserve a spot in open training practice to make up their missed class.

    •  Do not block the doorway when entering/exiting

    • Please leave promptly after class

    • Come to class in clothes you will be taking the class in as often as possible

    • Limit amount of personal belongings taken into The Rising. (eg. Water bottle, car keys, wallet).  

    • Wash hands with soap and water upon entering and after using washroom

    • Proceed directly to your class area and wait for class to begin once hands are washed and belongings stored.  No congregating inside facility

    • Cover all coughs/sneezes in elbow or tissue and immediately dispose of tissue in bin and wash hands afterwards with soap & water or use hand sanitizer

  • KIDS CLASSES ( additional policies ) 

    • Coaches will take photos and some video throughout the session and share on our social media (FB and IG) to show what children are working on.  If you do not want your child to appear in any photos/video please inform The Rising via email

    • Parents can wait in our waiting area if needed. However, if there is a class being held in ROOM A all noise must be kept to a minimum so as not to disrupt

    • Parents are not allowed to enter the circus rooms during class time.  Please remain in waiting area.

    • Please do your best to arrive on time for Pick Up so we can make sure we have enough time to disinfect facility before next class arrives

    • Bring a water bottle for your child.  

    • Please have your child arrive in the clothes they are going to take class in

  •  MASK WEARING POLICY​

    • masks are optional for students, coaches, visitors

​

  •  CLASS WITHDRAWALS / REFUNDS / MISSED CLASSES / PRORATED CLASSES

 

  • Once classes begin no class refunds for any reason, excluding illness or injury with a doctors note

  • Withdrawal  8+ days from class start date, a full refund will be given​

  • Withdrawal from 7-1 days notice from class start date and a 50% refund will be granted

  • CLASS CREDIT may be given on a case by case basis for a WITHDRAWAL where a student will miss 75% or more of a session.  Otherwise, no class credit for missed classes

  • KIDS MAKEUP CLASSES:  reserve a spot in Circus Kids Happy Hour

  • TEEN / ADULT MAKE UP CLASSES:  open training class.  Must make reservation online

  • Classes will be prorated for late registration                ​

  • The Rising reserves the right to cancel classes due to weather, coach absence, or other rare circumstances.  The best place to check current status of classes during bad weather is on our FB and IG pages.  We will try to notify via email and /or phone, text, however, this is not always possible.  Cancelled classes by The Rising will be credited back to your account or a make up class option will be scheduled.
