Have you always wanted to build your own circus act from start to finish? 🌟 Showcase your talent and join our Act Creation Class! 🌟 This immersive adult session guides you through the creative process of developing a solo circus act — from first idea to final bow. 🎪 What You’ll Do: 🎵 Choose your apparatus & music 🎭 Create original choreography 👗 Design your costume & visual concept 🛠 Learn structured tools for act development 💬 Receive personalized feedback & guidance Your finished act will be 2–4 minutes long and built around this session’s powerful theme: 🌅 THE JOURNEY Explore one or more stages of "The Journey" as your foundation: ✨ Dreams ⛰ Challenges 🏆 Triumph / Overcoming Using circus arts as a storytelling tool, you’ll deepen not only your technical skills but your ability to communicate emotion, meaning, and presence on stage. 🎉 The session culminates in two live performances — a matinee & evening show 📍 Held at The Rising’s studio 📅 June 14 👥 In front of a live ticketed audience Dress Rehearsal will take place during your final class. ⚠️ Attendance at this dress rehearsal is required in order to perform. ADULT AERIAL ABCS

Tuesdays 7:45 - 8:45pm

This course is your first step in aerial circus training. You will learn the foundations such as how to mount and dismount, proper hanging alignment, basic skills while sitting / standing / hanging / inverting on Silk, Hoop, Hammock, and Trapeze Once you complete the course you can then move into our Novice level classes and specialize on the apparatus of your choosing. Prerequisites: none but overall good health

Take your aerial hoop a step further in our Novice class now that you've got a solid foundation.  Work below, inside and on top of the hoop as you finesse your transitions. Prerequisites:  Aerial ABC's or equivalent.  Solid grasp of basics.  Able to mount/dismount hoop safely. Able to work on all levels of hoop- under hoop,  inside hoop, on top of hoop.  Comfortable being upside down

HOOP

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED 

Mondays 6:30 - 7:30pm

Intermediate & advanced skills, spins, transitions, and a strong emphasis on sequencing and working with a spin.  Hoop will be used at various heights.  Gain more strength, flexibility, and skill knowledge​​. Prerequisites:  single knee hangs 20 sec, flexed arm hang 20 seconds, 1 pull up from hanging to sit on hoop, 1 arm hangs 10 sec each arm, comfortable working with spin, minimum 1 year consistent training, pull over on bottom and top bar with good technique If uncertain about level talk to your coach or inquire at office

Aerial Hammock ( sometimes called Aerial Sling) is an apparatus similar to aerial silk but is rigged to create a loop in the bottom giving you a shelf to sit or stand on.  This course will solidify your foundational knowledge of the apparatus and build your strength to give you the skills to attempt higher level skills with inversions, a drop, or more complicated wraps.   Prerequisites:  Aerial ABC's or equivalent

HAMMOCK
INTERMEDIATE

Intermediate skills, drops, transitions, with a strong emphasis on sequencing and working with a spin.  Gain more strength, flexibility, and skill knowledge​​.  Prerequisites:  1 year training minimum, pullovers without kicking or pushing off of poles, knee drop/salto drop, inversions from backpack & from standing in hammock, ability to work with spin with ease

Our highest level hammock class where you will learn skills and build sequences that require a higher level of strength, flexibility, and endurance. Slack, salto, and multi directional drops may be included Prerequisites: Intermediate Hammock, same side knee hooks, flexed arm hang 45 sec, inversions with ease, experience with slack/salto drops, ability to work with a spin

ON PAUSE

The trapeze is an iconic circus apparatus and in this class it is rigged from a single point allowing for spin.   The 5 week course will focus on Basic and Novice level skills under the bar and in the ropes, combinations and strength & conditioning exercises.  Prerequisites: Aerial ABC's or equivalent

The class will focus on Intermediate level skills, combinations, spinning, balancing on the bar, and strength & conditioning exercises. Increase your knowledge of skills in the ropes. Prerequisites:  single knee hangs 20 sec, flexed arm hang 30 sec, skin the cats, 1 arm hangs 10 sec each arm, comfortable working with spin, minimum 1 year consistent training, pull over, ability to invert

This class will help you solidify your skills from Aerial ABC's and expand your skill library.  Work on your foot locks, gaining height in your climbs, inversions, and basic sequences. Work on foot locks in the air, hip keys, & simple drops when you're ready.  Stretchy silk will be used. Prerequisites:  Aerial ABC's or equivalent

SILK INTERMEDIATE &
ADVANCED

Mixed level class continuing to build your aerial endurance, strength and vocabulary. Multi directional or stacked drops may be taught along with skills & sequences that require a greater range of flexibility. Work on various skills with entries from Xbacks, hip keys, thigh hitch, same and opposite side knee hooks, and S-locks. Aerial silk requires a strong upper body and core to continue progressing and help remain safe off the ground.  We strongly encourage our students to make use of Open Training Drop In  to do muscle conditioning, review skills learned in class and stretch.   Prerequisites:  1 year minimum in Silk Novice or equivalent, hip key, inversions in air, foot locks in air, can stay on the silk for 3min+

ROPE NOVICE
On Pause for Spring
ON PAUSE

Take your first steps onto the rope with confidence! This class is designed for students who have a little aerial experience and are ready to start exploring beginner-level climbs, locks, and sequences on the aerial rope (corde lisse). You’ll build strength, coordination, and body awareness while learning to move safely and creatively in the air. Aerial ABC's and comfort with basic aerial techniques (such as climbing or foot locks on other apparatus) is helpful.

Learn intermediate level skills and gain strength while climbing and wrapping. Prerequisites: inversions, hip key, footlocks, and climb the rope to top. Comfortable working with height. Rope Novice or equivalent
